Could be a quiet Thanksgiving...

We may be at home recuperating from being sick this year. Teresa is on the mend but Scott came down with the virus that she had last week. Gabby went to our church's Thanksgiving Family Feast with Carol and Scott's mom Elsie. She performed one of her recital pieces from last year. This morning she said that she didn't feel well and that she thought she was getting sick again. She doesn't seem to be as sick as last time or as Scott is so hopefully she will bounce back quickly.

Hopefully we will be able to go to Scott's niece's for dinner on Thursday.

This last week...

...On Saturday morning we went to see the movie Fire Proof. We all thoroughly enjoyed it.

...On Sunday our friend Kim came over from Spokane to stay for a few days so that she could go to her speech therapy sessions.

...On Monday Kim and I did a little bit of running around and then in the evening we went out to dinner at Famous Dave's

...On Tuesday Teresa came down with the cold/virus that has been going around and then spent the rest of the week in bed.

Unfortunately Kim seems to have come down with the cold that she had. (We hope you feel better Kim!!)

That pretty much wraps up our week. Scott and Gabby have been taking good care of me and keeping up with their stuff.

I should have listened to Laurece...

...When she said maybe we should wait to paint the accent walls until I had picked out furniture. We went furniture shopping again over the weekend only to really confirm that the furniture we like best is at the Cannery (the first place that we looked). However, my dilemma comes in that my green paint clashes with the greenish colored furniture that we are wanting to buy.

So it looks like I will be calling Laurece and asking to look at paint swatches once again in order to yet one more time repaint my accent walls. Of course this won't happen until we actually go and buy the furniture and before we do that we have to get rid of the old stuff.

Other than that we had a fun game night at Carol's with family on Friday night and then just caught up on chores around the house.

Best friend and answered prayers

Kim and Gabby when we went out for dinner.

Teresa's best friend Kim came and stayed with us from Sunday until Wednesday. She came over to go to the University of Washington to see a speech pathologist to help with the breathing problems she has been having for the last two + years. They finally diagnosed her with vocal chord dysfunction which was causing the breathing problems. This is the answered prayer part. The appointments went very well and she is seeing improvements already. Also an answer to prayer.

We had a lot of fun having her here. Gabby gave up her room for a few nights and slept on our new aero bed.

We are very thankful for the time we got to spend with Kim and the encouragement that she is as well as the opportunity to have her stay here.
