Weekend update

We had a very good weekend. On Friday night Gabby went to the Sonic's game with several people from church. This was the reward for several kids who had the most people come to the Christmas program. She had a blast!

While she was doing that Scott and I went out to a new (at least to us) restaurant in Federal Way called McGrath's Fish House. Scott received a gift card for his birthday. It was good. The only disappointment was that they were out of one of the things that they listed as specials and of course that was exactly what Scott was going to order. We still enjoyed our dinner though.

Saturday was filled with catch up things around the house.

On Sunday we had decided to take a Dinner's Ready Meal over to Scott's folks and spend some time with them. They wanted to hear Gabby play the piano too so it ended up that they and Scott's sister Carol came over here and Gabby gave them a concert and we enjoyed the meal and then of course the cherry pie that Scott's mom made for dessert. I've include a few pictures below.

Valentine flowers

I just had to share the beautiful PINK roses that my sweetie gave me for Valentines Day! I know I should have posted this last week but it was a bit busy.

Prime Rib It Is...

Ok so Scott decided that he wanted Prime Rib for dinner so we went to the Keg. Dinner was great except for the first salad that they brought him. It was their house salad, but it was one of those that have all of the strange "lettuce" leaves in it. We don't particularly care for that type. They brought him a Caesar salad instead and the rest of the meal was great.
All in all Scott says it was a good birthday.

Happy Birthday Scott!

Today we are celebrating my wonderful husband.
It's his birthday!
So I got up and made him Eggs Benedict (his favorite) and he opened his presents. Then we went down to the Costco in Fife to look for a new chair for the church office and of course we found much more than that to buy.

Tonight Gabby has a birthday party for a girl in the youth group who's birthday it is today as well, so Scott and I are going to go out for dinner. He hasn't quite made up his mind whether he wants prime rib, seafood or both. :) I'll have to post later and let you all know what he decided. For now I will leave you with a few pictures from this morning.

She's Home!

Latte was released this morning. She is doing much better. She's still a little wheezy but seems to be well on her way to recovery.
Thanks to all of you who have asked about her.

Anniversary Update

Well it has been an interesting day...

Scott and I were able to go out for lunch together to celebrate our anniversary. We went to the Cheesecake Factory. He had a peach smoothie & Mahi Mahi Mediterranean and I had a mocha and Crispy Chicken Costoletta. It was all VERY Yummy!

I just talked to the doctor about Latte and she said she is doing much better than when we brought her in. She has eaten and drunk water and is keeping all of that down. They will start to taper her off of the oxygen and as long as she tolerates that ok we can go pick her up in the morning. :)

19 years ago today...

Scott and I got married. I can't believe how quickly the time has gone. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful husband! He takes very good care of all of us and I love him more every day.

We had an interesting and stressful start to our anniversary though. At 1:15 JJ started barking his head off so Scott got up and went out to see what was going on. When he got out to the living room he found a big mess (I'll spare you the details) in the entry way and dining room and Latte curled up in a ball sitting next to a chair breathing very strange. He came in and got me and I went out to help clean things up but once I saw Latte laying there shaking and wheezing I ended up wrapping her in a couple of towels and holding her.

We made the decision to take her to the emergency vet clinic (which is in Tacoma because that is the one our vet recommends). By the time that we got there it was around 3:00am.

They admitted her and put her in an oxygen kennel. Which seemed to immediately help with her breathing issue. They then did an x-ray and found that she had aspirated into her lungs so they decided to keep her there so she could continue to get the oxygen and they could check her for any other issues.

We got back home around 5:00am ate something and then went back to bed for a few hours.

When I called in around 9:30am to check on Latte the doctor said she was continuing to improve and they would try to feed her around 11:00am and see how she handles the food.

Needless to say it wasn't exactly what we had planned for celebrating our anniversary.

We will update later this evening.

Gabby's Recital

Gabby had her first recital for this year today. It went very well.

After several attempts at getting this to work I think that we have finally succeeded!
The first video is Gabby's duet with Keenen playing "A Colossal Day" and the second is playing "Golden Reflections".

We hope that you enjoy them!

Thanks Mom!

Many of you are mom's and willingly share everyday...

You share your love...

You share your money...

You share your food...

You share your time...

You share your energy...

You share your mind...(sometimes giving a piece of it :) and some times just sharing your thoughts)

My mom has shared all of those things and more. She has shared her birthday as well! I count it such a priviledge that my mom has (for my entire life :)) shared her birthday with me. She has always done it with love and graciousness and I just wanted to publicly thank her and wish her a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Thanks for teaching me what it means to share so selflessly. I miss you!

Love Teresa

On the up side

Well we are all on the mend. It's been a while since I've posted due to business and illness. Gabby came down with the cold/flu that has been going around. Scott & I thought that we had slid by without catching it when it slammed us last Saturday. We both seem to be on the side of getting better.

Teresa ended up having to cancel her birthday trip to Phoenix to celebrate with with her mom :( Hopefully we'll be able to schedule something at another time.
