Answer to prayer...

the rain stopped while we went to the Steven Curtis Chapman & Michael W. Smith concert at the Puyallup fair. It rained all day and then about 30 minutes before the concert the rain stopped and about 20 minutes after the concert it started again.
We were standing in line when we received a call from Laurece asking where we were. She and Carle were already in their seats. We found them once we got in the gates and went to say hi. After we did we found our seats which were one section over and two rows up. So we proceeded to yell back and forth to one another. Then we tried to take pictures of each other from our seats.

The people sitting next to Carle & Laurece offered to swap seats with us so we did. It was so much fun to get to enjoy the concert with them. We asked some one in a couple of rows ahead of us to take a picture so he took a picture of himself. :) Here it is:

Then he kindly did take a picture of all of us.

Here are a few pictures from the concert it self.

Peaches, Puyallup & Paint

These are the highlights of our week...among other things. :)
Teresa's brother went to Chelan last week and picked up donut peaches for us! They are the best...juicy, sweet (like eating candy), a bit smaller than normal peaches but they are really yummy. So we have been eating and sharing peaches.
On Tuesday we went to the Puyallup Fair and to the Casting Crowns concert. We had a great time. It was a gorgeous day!

On Wednesday Awana started up at our church again. Gabby is one of the Leaders In Training. She helps check the children in and then works with the group of 5th and 6th grade girls.

Thursday Teresa started back to Bible Study.

Today we finished the painting!! Whew hoo!!!! (of course now we get to put everything back in it's spot and maybe do a few touch ups here and there but it feels REALLY good to have this done). I'll post more pictures once we have things back where they belong and everything isn't so cluttered.

Only 3 walls left!

Thanks to Laurece and a long weekend of painting for all three of us (Scott, Laurece & I) there are only 3 walls left!
Laurece came and worked on our kitchen while we were at work on Thursday and then with us Friday & Saturday.
So here are some pictures....

Here's the Living Room with all three accent walls. The new blue/green color is PERFECT!
A bit closer look at the dining room
Above the fireplace
Kitchen and part of the family room. Scott calls the brown a chocolate malt brown. This is the color over the fireplace, the stripes in the kitchen, and the lower part of the walls in the nook. These are the stripes that Laurece painted. She did an Awesome job!
This is Gabby in the nook area where there is brown on the bottom and a pale pink on the top
More of the stripes (sorry got the order mixed up)

We're getting closer

Well we are getting closer to having our painting done. Yippee!! Laurece was able to get us samples and after I put several spots on the walls we decided to go with them. So while Gabby was gone over this past weekend Scott and I finished the last beige wall and put the primer on the kitchen walls. Then today Laurece came and put the glossy light pink on the kitchen and she'll come back and put the brown stripes on tomorrow.

Then all we have left is the three accent walls in the family room, the three accent walls in the living/dining room (these are the green ones) and the nook. Whew! That still sounds like a lot of work. :)

Scott laying down on the job :)
(really he's doing the edging in the hall)
Scott painting behind the stove in the kitchen.
The new color doesn't look this blue in real life. It looks more green but up next to the old green it looks pretty blue.

This is with the beige on the left the green that we will use in the living & dining rooms and the brown that will be the accent walls in the family room and parts of the kitchen & nook areas. (sorry the colors don't show up all that well due to the lighting)
We'll post shots with better lighting when we are all done.
